چکیده
Abstract Introduction and objectives Exogenous lipoid pneumonia (ELP) is a lung inflammatory disease with low prevalence has the feature of external lipid substances presented in alveoli. Therapeutic lavage (segmental bronchoalveolar whole lavage) been gradually recognized as an important therapy for disease. There was no comprehensive summary on its efficacy safety. Methods We searched PubMed, Embase, Cochrane Library, CNKI, Wanfang Database, clinicaltrials.gov, references included studies. After study selection, data extraction quality assessment, we performed qualitative description current data. Results 90 ELP patients from 25 case reports 8 series Eighty‐four (93.3%) received segmental six (6.7%) lavage. Eighty‐seven (96.7%) got clinical improvement after lavages, while three (3.3%) had eventually died. The follow‐up status reported 29 patients, whom 24 remained well without any use drugs 4 some periods corticosteroids. One patient endured recurrence. radiological change 72 41 (56.9%) full resolution until last follow‐up. Two studies acute pulmonary edema transient hypoxemia during lavages. Conclusions might be effective safe long‐term benefits ELP. Current were all relatively high risk bias. Prospective controlled are needed to explore actual efficacy, safety, individualized indications, optimized treatment procedures therapeutic

A 65-y-old Japanese man was referred to the respiratory medicine department because of abnormal radiologic findings. High-resolution chest computed tomography scans revealed a geographic distribution of ground-glass opacities and associated thickening of the interlobular septa (crazy-paving patterns) in both lower lobes. He had a habit of drinking 400-500 mL of milk and 400-800 mL of canned cof...

VASELINE oil intoxication is a known cause of exogenous lipoid pneumonia. Vaseline oil is a mixture of saturated aliphatic (C14–C18) and cyclic hydrocarbons that is insoluble in water and, in the alveolar space, activates an acute inflammatory response with edema and interstitial fibrosis. Because the hydrocarbons cannot be metabolized in humans, the therapy consists of limiting or decreasing t...

The authors observed three cases of exogenous lipid pneumonia clinically suspected of lung carcinoma. Histological examination of material after thoracotomy gave the possibility of correct diagnosis. The lesions in lungs were characteristic granulomas around lipid material and with surrounding advanced fibrosis.

Background: Recently, the "Disruptions in the Energy Field" have been omitted from the list of nursing diagnoses published by the North American Nursing Diagnosis Association (NANDA). Therapeutic touch is a scientific nursing intervention. The aim of this systematic review was to identify the efficacy of therapeutic touch (TT) and investigate the tenability of omitting this diagnosis from the N...
متن کاملA case of exogenous lipoid pneumonia.
Lipoid pneumonia is an unusual form of pneumonitis. It is categorized as either exogenous or endogenous, depending on the lipid source. Diagnosis requires a high index of suspicion, with clues provided by history and characteristic radiographic findings. Evaluation of samples obtained via bronchoscopy can confirm the diagnosis with oil red O staining, without requiring surgical biopsy. We repor...
